Welcome to The Ladies Dress & Dish Club blog. How do you do?


I'm sure you're wondering what are we all about. So please allow me to explain. Based in Dublin, The Ladies Dress & Dish Club is a new social group which celebrates the beauty and glamour of the bygone era. Hosting a variety of afternoon tea parties, sewing & knitting meets, tutorial classes, summer picnics and informal chit-chat sessions we want to relive the elegance of days gone by when people dressed for dinner and wore their Sunday best. Hopefully we will be able to announce the details of our first event very soon!


So if you've been looking for a good excuse to wear that pretty new cocktail hat or that 1940s day dress that's been tucked away in the wardrobe since you bought it then The Ladies Dress & Dish Club is for you!

We'll be posting on things from great places in Ireland and abroad to find yourself a bargain be it on a dress or a tea trolly, reviews of retro cosmetics, links to other great blogs and websites, hints and tips about looking after and mending your vintage clothes (just like Granny would have done) and profiles of inspirational ladies who personify the ethos of the club.
