Granny's tip of the week:
Never wear undergarments made of shiny-surfaced fabric like satin under tailored clothes because they will slip on the material. Instead undergarments made of heavyrayon, artificial taffeta or rough surfaced spun silk are far better suited to wear under tailored clothes.
